The Pace e Sviluppo cooperative deals with fair trade and is based in Treviso.
In 1988, the Pace e Sviluppo association was founded, with the aim of spreading fair trade in the areas near Treviso.
In the same year, Cooperazione Terzo Mondo (now Altromercato Impresa Sociale) was founded, of which the association is one of the founding members. At the beginning, awareness stalls were set up and the product warehouse was in the home of a volunteer. This was until 1990, when the first shop/outlet was opened in Zero Branco where the products could find their optimal location.
In 1993, the Pace e Sviluppo cooperative was founded in Treviso. In the following years, other shops managed by the cooperative were opened.
The shops sell food , artisanal products and natural cosmetics from fair trade; they are made without exploitation and are evidence of the commitment of thousands of people.
In 2005, the shopping experience was accompanied by the first edition of Fiera4passi . The Fair has become a very important event to present fair trade and experiences of sustainable choices.
Now Pace e Sviluppo, recognized by Equo Garantito, manages 10 shops in the province of Treviso, in the province of Pordenone and in the areas of San Donà di Piave (VE) and Camposampiero (PD).
